Rest Time / Nap Time

Each child gets their own crib or cot that is cleaned and sanitized weekly with a new clean sheet. For our older students their personal blankets and pillows that stay at school are washed as well. Our infants use sleep sacks that follow safe sleep guidelines that are washed when needed and weekly.

We have group reading time with the lights turned down and soft music playing in the background to help soothe the children just before rest time. If a child does not need or want a nap that day, they still will have rest time. Those non sleeping children can read a book or play with a quiet toy or puzzle during that time.

We prefer the children to not be picked up during this time, but we know that is not always possible. If we know in advance that pick up is needed for your child or children during rest time. We can have the parents use a different door to enter the school, so they do not wake up the other students.
